Dennis D. Carr, DMD, MD
Dr. Carr was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. After working as an engineer for a couple of years, he was accepted into the University of Alabama School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Carr was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honorary representing outstanding academic achievement. He then entered medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in 1987. After serving an internship in General Surgery at UAB, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UAB, serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Carr is board certified and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He successfully re-certified in 2002 and 2012. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He serves as an examiner for the board for credentialing office based anesthesia.
